Christmas Cocktail with Jackson Morgan

‘Tis the season to be jolly, am I right? This Christmas cocktail makes it a little easier to be the jolliest on the block. It features Jackson Morgan Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Southern Cream, whiskey, and a splash of eggnog. This cocktail is creamy, decadent, and the perfect sipper for the holidays.

I first discovered Jackson Morgan Southern Cream when won their giveaway of a fabulous Staub pumpkin cocotte. As a thank you, I made a cocktail with their Peppermint Mocha cream, which I dubbed “Let it Snow.” I immediately thought of them again when planning for this year’s #12DaysOfChristmas because their decadent creams lend themselves so well to a Christmas cocktail.

Although eggnog is an acquired taste, it gets lightened considerably when shaken with ice. For this drink, I prefer a less heavy eggnog, so keep that in mind when selecting your ‘nog.

To make this cocktail, you simply shake bourbon, JMC, and eggnog in an ice-filled shaker until frothy and ice-cold. Pour into a coupe or a martini glass and garnish with cinnamon or nutmeg. I love the addition of the cinnamon stick– it’s so festive.
