Yum! Sounds delicious!
We love our citrus herb turkey! I got the recipe from Southern Living forever ago. ❤️🎄🦃👍
Yes! With the 12 Days of Christmas, I’ve had to change it up a bit. Normally I make ginger cookies, sea salt caramels, peppermint patties, snowball cookies and chocolate crinkles. Rice dressing sounds fantastic! What about you and your recipes?
Christmas cookies are a definite tradition!🎄Family tradition is to change the menu every year too. I love my mother’s rice dressing though. Do you make the same recipes every year?
Yaaaas! I did an oyster stew for last year’s 12 Days. It’s a Christmas Eve staple in our house, too!
My Dad’s oyster stew on Christmas Eve! (And now your pavlova!)
Oh my goodness, that is amazing!
I just tried this for the first time and in t is amazing! Highly addictive!
Something we lovingly refer to as “Green Stuff” which is a Triffle with 2 layers of pound cake, pistachio pudding, crumbled heath bars, and cool whip. Vintage-y goodness 🙂
My family is from Virginia, so we are serious about ham, too! 🙂 Merry Christmas!
Oh man. I have my Granny’s pound cake recipe, but it’s never the same!
My mom makes the best ham. Not Christmas without it!
My great grandmothers pound cake!! Brings back all the memories and is oh so good!!
That’s one I haven’t made in a while! Merry Christmas, Amy!
Coconut pie is fantastic. Merry Christmas, Vicki!
My mother’s delicious coconut pie. Wonderful memories.
Thumb print cookies
Those sound lovely!
My mother-in-law’s fruitcake cookies!
I love it!
Yaaaas!
Cliche, but soul-satisfying: gumbo ❤️
My grandmother’s stuffing – simple but hands down my favorite part of the holidays.
I so can’t wait to hear all about your trip! Hugs to you!
after being in London this entire week I am just dying for some good southern food. I’m partial to 10 layer chocolate cakes, I could eat an entire one in a few days with one fork and a little will power. My moms rice supreme is our “special occasion” dish that always leaves us begging for more though. 🙂
Yum! That sounds amazing.
I love my mom’s homemade bread pudding. It’s my absolute favorite! Nobody can make it like she can 🙂
One of my favorites, as well!
My mom’s Italian Wedding cookies.
I adore squash casserole. It’s the best. And so is breakfast casserole!
Ohhh that’s a hard one! Our family’s breakfast casserole is a must for Christmas morning! But I LOVE my great-grandmother’s squash casserole!! This year I took a chance and tried making it myself for the first time (with a few teeny adjustments from the way Mom makes it). Fingers crossed!
Me too! If I’m the cook, I always do gumbo for Christmas Eve. 🙂
I love turkey or gumbo!
Oyster patties sound fabulous!
Hi love! My favorite holiday dish is my family’s oyster patties. We always make a ton and they are gone in the blink of an eye 😉
I love that we are getting so many quiche responses! It’s one of my favorite foods!
That sounds delightful. Any Julia Child recipe is a friend of mine.
My Mother in Laws breakfast quiche is my all time favorite holiday food!!
Julia Child’s petits pots de creme au chocolat! Christmas Eve dessert for more years than I can count.
Oooooh I need to get on that rum cake train. My granny made a dynamite one.
Yes! Those are both awesome.
Ooooh yes!
It’s a tie – my husband’s mashed potatoes or my mom’s rum cake.
Spinach feta quiche and gingerbread cookies!
My favorite is cornbread dressing….
I hear you there, Amy!
Everything from my Grandmother’s cookie tray.
I feel the same about my Granny’s Virginia ham biscuits. They were ethereal. I once did a whole Smithfield country ham. I wrote about it on Mixing in Mobile. http://mixinmobile.blogspot.com/2010/01/biscuits-finally-and-seriously-one.html
Let’s do it together!
Jenny, I’ve never had this! I’ll have to investigate!
My moms ham biscuits. For sure. I miss them terribly. It’s hard to find good Virginia ham in Alabama.
My favorite holiday treat is Martha Washington candy!
Sugar cookies are the bomb. I bet we did make them together as kids! Lots of frosting and sprinkles involved, I imagine! 🙂 Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and yours!
Billie Jo, I just happen to have some soft, iced cookies sitting right by me! Merry Christmas, and have a fantastic holiday season!
Kyla, living on the Gulf Coast, we incorporate seafood wherever we can, especially for the holidays! I love a quiche, too. Thanks for entering, and happy holidays!
Amanda, loving these posts lately! Awesome gift ideas. Christmas sugar cookies are my favorite… we probably made them together when we were little. Hope all is well! Xo Anne
I always look forward to big , soft iced sugar cookies wirh a large mug of coffee. I am so.happy I found your site on fb. I am.loving all your holiday recipes!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
My favorite is a family shrimp sauce recipe with shrimp as an appetizer. I make ithe during Thanksgiving and occasionally on Christmas if we have a crowd.
Between that and a hearty quiche for breakfast, I could skip the ham!
My favorite holiday dish is my mom’s squash casserole. Or gingerbread cookies!
Yum! Your Charlotte Russe is delicious!
Christmas cookies are the best. Any favorite recipes?
My favorite cookies too! Merry Christmas!
Yes! Cookies for Santa are a must. We always did sugar cookies!
Two Southern classics! I love it!
I’ve always wanted to do a Feast of the Seven Fishes!
Growing up down under I enjoyed cold seafood buffets on Christmas Day. So, I like to incorporate seafood into our US celebration!
My favorite nibbles at Christmas are my moms cheese straws and praline pecans.
Love the cups and your recipes! My favorite treat is homemade chocolate chip cookies for Santa! They are delicious and fun to make with the kids!
Love Lemon baby and those cups!
I love simple Christmas cookies and coffee!
Charlotte Russe!
