    Hi Amanda,

I got what I wanted from my Christmas list this year….experiences, as opposed to things. Just came back from an epic trip to Costa Rica! Merry Christmas sweetie!

I have a few things on my wish list. First and foremost, I need a job. My law firm let me go last Christmas and while I’ve been doing some legal work on my own, I miss the steady paycheck. In order to make ends meet, I’ve moved back in with my parents. It would be nice to be out on my own again, but a job is a necessity first. I miss my stuff (all in storage) and being able to entertain. My second wish list item is to continue losing weight. For the last two months, I’ve been hard at work reclaiming my health. So far I’ve lost 50 pounds, but I have a ways to go and then to keep off. Your Meyers lemon cookie recipe is slated from tomorrow (I’m swapping out some of the flour with protein powder and wheat free baking flour) so i can have some tasty and delicious snacks for the holidays. Third, I’d love to find a steady relationship with a good man. Of course, this is severely impacted by the living with Mom and Dad thing, but it would be nice to have. Finally, a million dollars (or at least enough to pay off my student loans) would be nice. Really, I just want enough to allow me to donate to the charities that matter to me.

Meg, I’m sorry you’re going through all of that. Please let me know how the substitutions go on the cookie, and I hope you have a lovely holiday!

It will all work out the way it’s supposed to. So far my substitutions have been pretty good, if only a little dry if I don’t add a little extra moisture to things. Incidentally, your recipe as it is is reasonably healthy as it is so I don’t think there will be much of a problem. It will help use up our lemon abundance. I’m debating using the tons of bitter oranges we have as well as a second batch. There is only so much marmalade and disposal cleaner that one can need or give away. I’ll keep you posted. Have a wonderful holiday!

I dearly want my children, my husband, my extended family and my dearest friends to cherish their time off, with one another, even if only for 24 hrs hours. This year I’m trying for the first time (with a 5 yr old) to teach about Jesus, and giving, rather than receiving… I’ll let you know how it works out. Oh – and and I wouldn’t mind a million dollars in my bank account, and of course world peace! Love you Lemon Baby!

I would like “life lessons” otherwise known as personal training for me and my puppy Parker. We need counseling 🙂 I would also like your lemon curd!

Hey Lemon Baby! All I want for Christmas is a new Kindle, no wait lists for the ebooks I want to check out at the library, and a nice bottle of a red blend. 🍷📱📖

I just finished a 6-book series called Codex Alera, a fabulous fantasy storyline by Jim Butcher. Next up on my list is Jackaby, which one reviewer labeled as a “historical paranormal mystery” – I’m starting it tonight and pairing it with a syrah. I’ll keep you posted.

Another excellent wish. Do you have a particular color in mind? I love my chrome one because it’s so neutral, but robin’s egg blue is my “signature color.” 😉
